Engineers inspect a forged aerospace component in a Voestalpine facility.
Voestalpine’s High Performance Metals Division has secured approximately EUR 1 billion in aerospace sector orders over the next five years, marking the largest aerospace order volume in the company’s history. The agreements, which include major industry players such as Airbus, cover high-performance materials, complex forged components, and integrated global logistics services.
Production will occur at facilities in Kapfenberg and Mürzzuschlag in Austria, as well as at Villares Metals’ Sumaré plant in Brazil. Voestalpine will supply nickel-based alloys and forged components for aircraft including the Airbus A320, A330, and A350 families.
Herbert Eibensteiner, Chairman of the Management Board, emphasized the company’s innovative strength and strategic partnership role in the international aerospace industry. Reinhard Nöbauer, Head of the High Performance Metals Division, highlighted the customer focus and comprehensive service range, integrating manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain management within the ‘Aerospace and Energy Industry’ segment.
