An LPG carrier navigates the open sea, flanked by two tugboats.
An India-bound Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) carrier, identified as MT Sarv Shakti, has successfully passed through the Hormuz Strait. This transit is significant given recent disruptions in the vital shipping lane.
The vessel is carrying a substantial volume of LPG and is scheduled to arrive at its destination in Visakhapatnam shortly. The safe passage of MT Sarv Shakti follows a period where several Indian-flagged vessels were previously held up.
Despite the earlier challenges, the Shipping Ministry has confirmed that some Indian LPG and crude oil vessels have managed to transit the strait without incident since the onset of the crisis.
