Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has announced that the Crude Distillation Unit at its Rajasthan refinery is scheduled to restart in May, following a fire incident that occurred on April 20.
According to HPCL, investigations into the incident have confirmed that the fire was limited in scope. The company stated that the fire was confined to the heat exchanger stack, affecting only six exchangers and their associated auxiliary equipment.
“Post-incident detailed investigations have confirmed the initial assessment that the fire was confined to the heat exchanger stack, affecting only 6 exchangers and their associated auxiliary equipment,” HPCL said in its post.
