CW Enerji, a Turkish photovoltaic solar panel producer, has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to supply $750 million worth of solar panels and related equipment to a U.S. client. The deal, expected to extend until the end of 2030, marks a significant entry into the U.S. market for the company.
Under the agreement, CW Enerji will supply solar panels and associated components, including aluminum frames. The company anticipates receiving an initial advance payment of $37.5 million, representing 5% of the total deal value, in 2026, after which shipment planning will commence. Specific unit prices and other commercial terms will be determined based on prevailing market conditions at the time of each delivery. The identity of the U.S. partner has not been disclosed.
Established in 2010 and based in Antalya, Türkiye, CW Enerji has an annual production capacity of 1.8 gigawatts (GW) for photovoltaic solar panels and 1.2 GW for solar cell manufacturing. The company has announced plans for a $520 million investment to boost its annual solar cell production capacity to 5 GW. In 2025, it launched its first aluminum frame production facility, capable of producing 1,000 tons annually. CW Enerji reported revenues of ₺16.4 billion ($414.7 million) in 2025, with international sales contributing 4% across 60 countries.
Following the announcement of this major deal, CW Enerji’s shares on Borsa Istanbul saw an 8% increase during Thursday’s trading session, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s expansion and market prospects.
