India manages Middle East evacuations.
As tensions rise in the Middle East due to the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, India has scaled up its efforts to evacuate citizens stranded due to airspace closures. With Kuwait and Bahrain’s airspace remaining shut, the Ministry of External Affairs is coordinating alternative routes for Indian nationals.
Flights from Oman and Saudi Arabia are currently operational, providing crucial transit points. Qatar’s airspace is partially open, offering limited relief. Special arrangements are being made for those in Kuwait and Bahrain, routing them via Saudi Arabia to ensure their safe return.
Evacuations from Iran are also being managed, with travel from Israel being facilitated through Jordan. These measures aim to mitigate the impact of flight disruptions on Indian citizens in the region. The situation remains dynamic, and Indian authorities are closely monitoring developments to adjust evacuation plans as needed.
