Logistics and cold storage facility operations in India
The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has committed “.225 crore (approximately $27 million) to NDR Smart Spaces, a developer of warehousing and logistics infrastructure. The investment aims to support the creation of a 20 million square foot logistics platform, with a strategic focus on tier 2 and tier 3 cities across India.
This initiative by NDR Smart Spaces will also include the development of cold storage facilities, addressing critical gaps in the Indian supply chain. The project is anticipated to generate around 24,000 direct employment opportunities, highlighting its potential economic impact.
The partnership underscores the growing need for modern logistics infrastructure in India, driven by e-commerce expansion and the government’s focus on improving supply chain efficiency. IFC’s involvement signals confidence in the sector’s growth potential and NDR Smart Spaces’ development capabilities.
