Industrial robot arm in a modern manufacturing facility.
The A’ Design Award & Competition has officially opened submissions for its A’ International Manufacturing and Processing Machinery Design Awards 2026. This global competition is inviting machinery designers, industrial designers, manufacturing brands, production engineers, and related companies to showcase innovations in industrial machinery and factory automation developed within the past decade.
The awards program covers a broad spectrum of eligible entries, including but not limited to industrial robots, CNC machines, assembly lines, processing equipment, packaging machinery, quality control machinery, and smart manufacturing technologies. The submission deadline is set for September 30, 2026, with winners to be announced on May 1, 2027.
A two-phase evaluation process will be employed, starting with a preliminary assessment of submitted designs. Entries that pass this initial stage will proceed to a nomination phase, subject to a nominal fee. A distinguished international jury, composed of over 300 academics, industrial designers, manufacturing engineers, and automation specialists, will conduct an anonymous evaluation. The assessment criteria will focus on innovation, engineering quality, operational performance, and overall design excellence.
Laureates of the A’ Manufacturing and Processing Machinery Design Awards will receive the A’ Design Prize, which includes a Design Excellence Certificate, a lifetime license for the winner logo, inclusion in the Yearbook of Best Designs, exhibition opportunities in Italy, a design award trophy, and an invitation to the A’ Design Awards’ Gala-Night. Further benefits include the translation of awarded works, entry into Prime Clubs, inclusion in World Design Rankings, an exclusive interview, a press release, and a comprehensive press kit distributed to accredited media.
