Captain of Ports Terminal Building, Panaji, Goa
Panaji, Goa – On June 27, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the newly constructed Captain of Ports Terminal Building in Panaji, Goa. This significant waterfront facility, developed at a cost of Rs 48.87 crore, is poised to bolster maritime administration, enhance vessel monitoring and navigation capabilities, and contribute to Goa’s sustainable maritime development objectives.
The inauguration marks a key step in modernizing Goa’s maritime infrastructure. The new terminal is designed to streamline operations and improve efficiency in managing the state’s crucial port activities. Minister Sonowal also highlighted the priority being given to Phase I of the Goa water metro project, indicating a strategic focus on developing integrated water transport solutions for the region.
