Info Edge, the parent company of online job portal Naukri.com, has appointed Himanshu Agarwal as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Agarwal, a seasoned finance executive with extensive experience, is set to assume his new role on September 17, 2026.
Agarwal’s appointment follows the departure of Chintan Thakkar, who stepped down nearly a year ago to take on the role of group CEO at IAN Group. Ambarish Raghuvanshi has been serving as the interim CFO during this transition period.
Agarwal brings a wealth of experience to Info Edge, having previously served as the CFO for several prominent companies. His notable past roles include CFO at Bennett Coleman & Co Ltd., the parent company of The Times of India, and CFO positions at Huhtamaki, AkzoNoble India, and AstraZeneca Pharma India. Most recently, he has been a whole-time director and CFO at pharma major Cohan Lifesciences since January 2024.
A qualified chartered accountant, company secretary, and cost and management accountant, Agarwal will also join Info Edge’s board as a whole-time director for a five-year term commencing in September.
Info Edge, one of India’s oldest internet companies, operates a diverse portfolio including real estate platform 99acres, matchmaking services Jeevansaathi and Aisle, and edtech platform Shiksha. The company is also an active investor in the Indian startup ecosystem, with significant backing in AI and deeptech ventures, alongside its substantial investments in consumer tech startups.
