Welding tractor axles on assembly line, Pune, India
Pune-based auto component supplier Carraro India is projecting a substantial revenue growth, aiming to reach ₹4,000 crore by 2030. This ambitious target is primarily fueled by the anticipated boom in the four-wheel-drive (4WD) tractor market within India.
The company, a Tier 1 supplier in the automotive sector, observes a clear upward trend in the adoption of 4WD tractors. Currently, the penetration rate stands at approximately 25 percent. However, Carraro India forecasts this figure to climb significantly to 35-40 percent by the fiscal year 2028-29. This projected increase in demand for more advanced tractor technology is expected to be a key driver for the company’s revenue expansion.
The strategic focus on the agricultural machinery sector, particularly the growing segment of 4WD tractors, positions Carraro India to capitalize on evolving farming practices and the need for enhanced efficiency and power in agricultural operations. The company’s ability to supply critical components for these tractors will be central to achieving its revenue goals.
