Delegates discuss renewable energy plans for Africa and the Middle East at a South African office.
Chinese renewable energy firm AIKO has finalized a 300 MW ABC module procurement agreement with a major channel partner in the Middle East and Africa, marking a significant expansion in the region. The deal commits 100% of the partner’s annual distribution volume to AIKO’s advanced ABC modules.
The agreement builds upon a prior successful collaboration in South Africa, where AIKO and the partner jointly completed several high-end residential photovoltaic projects. A project in Paarl, South Africa, utilized AIKO’s 510 W full-black ABC modules to support off-grid residential operations, including powering air conditioning and swimming pools.
The signing ceremony included participation from the partner group’s CEO, AIKO’s sales and procurement representatives from South Africa, and delegates from 16 core EPC commercial customers in South Africa. This deal underscores AIKO’s growing influence in the renewable energy sector within emerging markets and highlights the increasing demand for advanced solar technologies in the region.
