India’s power sector is set to see a standardized approach to data management with the unveiling of a draft National Electricity Data Sharing Framework. This initiative aims to streamline the collection, maintenance, and sharing of critical data across various entities within the electricity ecosystem.
The proposed framework will encompass a wide range of stakeholders, including power generating companies, transmission and distribution licensees, load despatch centers, and regulatory commissions. Government agencies such as the Central Electricity Authority and Grid India, along with power exchanges, will also fall under its purview.
