Nua women's health and hygiene products
Nua, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) femtech brand, is reportedly in advanced negotiations to raise between $20 million and $25 million in its Series C funding round. The investment is expected to be led by Peak XV Partners, with participation anticipated from existing investors including Mirabilis Investment Trust and Kae Capital.
The brand last secured ₹35 crore (approximately $3.9 million) in a pre-Series C round in February of the previous year, with Mirabilis Investment Trust leading that investment. Currently, Lightbox holds the largest stake in Nua, owning 42.2%, followed by co-founder Ravi Ramachandran with 22%. Kae Capital holds a 7% stake, and Mirabilis Investment Trust has a 6.3% stake.
Founded in 2017 by Ravi Ramachandran and Abhishek Ramanathan, Nua offers a range of women’s health and hygiene products, including sanitary pads, cramp relief solutions, intimate washes, and nutritional supplements. The company distributes its products through its own e-commerce platform and various online marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, and Zepto.
Nua operates in India’s rapidly expanding femtech market, which is projected to reach $5.5 billion by 2034, growing at a CAGR of 15.7% from 2026 to 2034. This growth is attracting significant investor interest, with other players in the segment also securing substantial funding. For instance, Pee Safe recently raised $32 million, and Plush secured ₹40 crore ($4.6 million) in its Series B round last year.
