Vibe coding startup Rocket is reportedly in advanced discussions with US-based Susquehanna International Group (SIG) to lead its upcoming Series A funding round. Sources familiar with the matter indicate that the startup has held multiple rounds of discussions with SIG, and the talks are progressing positively.
The potential funding round is expected to include participation from Rocket’s existing investors, such as Salesforce Ventures and Accel. While the exact size of the round has not been disclosed, this development follows Rocket’s successful $15 million seed funding round less than a year ago, which was co-led by Salesforce Ventures and Accel, with additional investment from Together Fund.
Founded in 2021 by Vishal Virani, Rahul Shingala, and Deepak Dhanak, Rocket offers an AI-powered platform designed to enable users to build applications, websites, dashboards, and internal tools using natural language instructions. The company provides various subscription tiers, including a free starter plan and paid options at $25, $50, and $100 per month, offering increased token limits, private projects, and code download capabilities.
Rocket expanded into enterprise solutions in April with Rocket 1.0, which assists businesses with app development and competitive analysis post-launch, generating detailed market and strategy documentation. The startup reports significant traction in the US market, contributing 26% of its revenue, followed by Europe (15-20%) and India (10%).
This potential investment in Rocket aligns with a broader trend of increased investor interest in AI-powered coding platforms, driven by their rapid adoption and perceived potential. Notable recent investments in the AI coding space include Emergent’s $70 million raise and Elon Musk-led xAI’s acquisition of Cursor.
