Bajaj RIKI eCart delivering packages on a busy street in an Indian city
Delhivery is significantly enhancing its commitment to sustainable logistics by integrating approximately 1,500 Bajaj electric cargo three-wheelers into its nationwide network. This strategic move, a partnership with Bajaj Auto, is set to accelerate the company’s transition towards greener operations, particularly in smaller cities.
The initiative will see an initial deployment of 200 Bajaj RIKI eCarts within Delhivery’s existing last-mile delivery network. This phased rollout is designed to optimize the integration of electric vehicles into complex urban and semi-urban logistics chains.
By combining the deployment of these electric cargo vehicles with advanced route optimization technology, Delhivery aims to achieve a dual benefit: a substantial reduction in carbon emissions and a marked improvement in operational efficiency. This expansion underscores a growing trend in the logistics sector towards adopting electric mobility solutions to meet environmental goals and enhance service delivery.
