New Delhi, India & Thimphu, Bhutan – Tata Power has entered into an initial agreement with Druk Green Power Corporation, Bhutan’s leading hydropower company, to develop a comprehensive training framework focused on clean energy development. This collaboration is set to bolster Bhutan’s capacity to achieve its ambitious clean energy targets.
The partnership aims to establish a robust training infrastructure that will equip Bhutanese professionals with the necessary skills to manage and develop a significant pipeline of clean energy projects. The initiative is specifically geared towards supporting the development of 5,000 MW of clean energy capacity within the Himalayan nation.
This strategic alignment between Tata Power, a major player in India’s power sector with a growing renewable energy portfolio, and Druk Green Power Corporation, underscores a commitment to fostering sustainable energy solutions and cross-border cooperation in the region.
