ACME Group has signed a significant ₹20,000-crore agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to supply green ammonia, marking a major step in India’s renewable energy initiatives. The 10-year purchase agreement will see ACME establishing a green ammonia production facility in Odisha.
The facility will supply contracted capacity to fertiliser units across multiple states, addressing a critical need for sustainable fertiliser production. This move aligns with India’s broader goals of reducing carbon emissions and promoting green energy solutions.
By leveraging green ammonia, ACME and SECI are not only contributing to environmental sustainability but also enhancing the economic viability of renewable energy projects. The partnership underscores the growing importance of public-private collaborations in achieving India’s ambitious renewable energy targets.
The project is expected to create numerous jobs and stimulate economic growth in Odisha, further solidifying its position as a key hub for green energy innovation. With this agreement, ACME is poised to become a leading player in the green ammonia market, driving advancements in sustainable energy practices.
