LPG tanker at Gujarat port amidst West Asia tensions.
Amidst ongoing tensions in West Asia, a significant shipment of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has arrived at Gujarat’s Vadinar port. The MT Jag Vasant, carrying 47,000 tonnes of LPG, anchored at 8.30 pm on Friday, according to a statement from Deendayal Port Authority.
The vessel loaded its cargo from Mina Al Ahmadi Port in Kuwait, highlighting the continued flow of energy resources from the region despite geopolitical uncertainties. The arrival of the MT Jag Vasant ensures a steady supply of LPG to meet domestic demand in India.
The Deendayal Port Authority oversees operations at Vadinar port, a key gateway for energy imports into India. The port plays a crucial role in facilitating the import and distribution of essential commodities like LPG, contributing to the nation’s energy security.
