Indian professionals optimizing AI models in a modern corporate setting
Several of India’s leading startups are integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their core operations and launching new AI-centric ventures. Companies such as CARS24 and Eternal are transforming internal AI tools into standalone enterprise solutions to tap into new revenue streams.
Eternal’s AI venture, initially developed for Zomato, now operates as an independent platform named Nugget. It offers conversational AI, voice assistants, and workflow automation to a diverse range of enterprises, including private banks, insurance companies, and e-commerce brands. Nugget reported ₹7.2 Cr in revenue for FY26 and is valued at ₹350 Cr.
CARS24 has launched Deployment Inc, an AI platform focused on assisting enterprises in managing AI systems. This venture will deploy forward-deployed engineers to help companies integrate AI models with internal data and optimize workflows.
Other fintech companies like Paytm and Razorpay are also developing AI capabilities for external business use. The strategy is to leverage the extensive workflow data, distribution networks, and operational expertise accumulated by these consumer-facing platforms.
However, transitioning from internal success to enterprise solutions presents challenges. Startups must navigate lengthy sales cycles, complex integrations, data governance, and robust product support. Proving measurable returns and building trust beyond their parent brands will be crucial for success against specialized AI startups.
In other news, the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of logistics tech company LEAP India has entered its second day, with Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) showing strong interest. The IPO comprises a fresh issue of up to ₹480 Cr and an Offer for Sale (OFS) of up to ₹2,000 Cr.
Meanwhile, Zostel has withdrawn its plea to the Delhi High Court regarding OYO’s IPO disclosures, though it retains the liberty to return to court. The long-standing dispute between the two companies dates back to 2015.
