Technicians at India's first SME-led semiconductor ATMP facility in Bhiwadi.
Sahasra Electronic Solutions has inaugurated a new semiconductor Assembly, Testing, Marking, and Packaging (ATMP) facility in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. This development marks a significant milestone as it is Rajasthan’s first semiconductor ATMP facility and India’s first such plant to be led by a Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME). The company has also flagged off its initial exports from this facility to Germany and Nepal.
The establishment of this ATMP unit is poised to bolster India’s domestic semiconductor manufacturing capabilities, particularly within the SME sector, which has historically faced challenges in accessing advanced manufacturing infrastructure. Sahasra Electronic Solutions’ initiative aims to bridge this gap and foster greater participation of Indian SMEs in the global semiconductor supply chain.
This strategic move by Sahasra Electronic Solutions aligns with India’s broader goals to enhance its self-reliance in critical technology sectors and attract further investment into electronics manufacturing. The commencement of exports to international markets like Germany and Nepal underscores the facility’s readiness to meet global standards and contribute to India’s export basket.
