SportVot team utilizing AI broadcasting tools at a grassroots cricket match.
Sportstech startup SportVot has successfully closed a funding round totaling ₹32.7 Crore (approximately $3.8 million). The round was led by IAN Alpha Fund, with significant participation from Anicut Capital, Lets Venture, Capital A, and Succeed Innovation. This capital infusion is earmarked for expanding SportVot’s international footprint and enhancing its artificial intelligence-driven production and analytics capabilities.
Founded in 2019 by Siddhant Agarwal, Shubhangi Gupta, and Yash Bhagwatkar, SportVot aims to bring professional broadcasting standards to grassroots and local sports events. The platform leverages AI to provide comprehensive broadcast solutions, including live streaming, TV-style graphics, instant replays, multilingual commentary, and automated highlight generation, all deployable using smartphones and cameras.
A portion of the newly acquired funds will also be directed towards scaling SportVot’s white-label Over-The-Top (OTT) solutions for sports organizations and leagues, both within India and in international markets. The startup has already achieved considerable reach, having streamed over 500,000 matches across more than 30 countries, engaging an audience exceeding 100 million viewers.
Siddhant Agarwal, co-founder and CEO of SportVot, stated, “We plan to use these funds to scale our offerings in international markets, with some initial success coming our way in Australia & Africa. The plan is to get into European, West Asian, and American markets. Our vision is to democratize access to technology and video creation for the 99% of sports tournaments & leagues that go unnoticed.”
SportVot operates in a rapidly growing sports technology sector. The Indian sports tech market is projected to exceed $3.5 billion by 2027, fueled by over 1,800 startups innovating in areas such as smart venues, fan engagement, and AI-driven personalization. SportVot competes in this dynamic landscape with players like CricHeroes, FanCode, and Stupa Sports Analytics.
