PM Modi addresses a crowd at the inauguration of the Ganga Expressway, highlighting India's infrastructure growth.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the 594-kilometer Ganga Expressway, a project valued at Rs 26,230 crore, connecting Meerut to Prayagraj. This development is set to significantly impact economic activity by enhancing connectivity and reducing travel time between key regions in Uttar Pradesh.
The six-lane expressway is designed not only to cut travel time to approximately six hours but also features an emergency landing facility, highlighting its strategic importance. Beyond its transportation utility, the project is envisioned as a substantial economic corridor, aiming to boost agricultural and industrial development by improving access for farmers and businesses to markets.
This infrastructure initiative is expected to integrate with other major transport networks, further streamlining logistics and supply chains. The development aligns with broader government strategies to bolster infrastructure as a catalyst for economic growth and investment across India’s emerging markets.
