Leaders in electronics manufacturing in their facility.
Ahmedabad-based Bacancy Systems, an electronics systems manufacturer, has secured ₹40 Cr ($4.2 million) in a Series A funding round led by Sabre Partners and Greenstone Capital. The company will use the capital to expand its manufacturing infrastructure, enhance product capabilities, and deepen its research and development (R&D) efforts.
Founded in 2021 by Binal Patel, Krunal Patel, and Hardik Sheth, Bacancy Systems specializes in embedded hardware and software systems across e-mobility solutions, healthcare, and railway-focused smart grid solutions. The company is focused on penetrating the Indian railway electronics segment to enhance operational efficiency and reliability in modern rail systems.
Bacancy Systems is developing train control and management system (TCMS) solutions, control systems for traction converters and auxiliary converters, TRDP-based embedded modules, PA/PIS Systems, and remote monitoring platforms.
According to CEO Binal Patel, the funding validates the company’s focus on R&D in electric mobility and railways, as well as local manufacturing under the Make in India initiative. Bacancy Systems aims to contribute to building a reliable supply chain.
The investment comes as the Indian government pushes for modernization of Indian Railways, with initiatives like the Rail Tech portal encouraging startups to propose solutions directly to the Railways, with the ministry offering up to 50% of the funding for approved projects.
Other companies in the electronics manufacturing segment, such as Indigrid and Six Sense Mobility, have also recently garnered investments to strengthen their production capabilities and R&D initiatives. The finance ministry has also proposed increasing the outlay of the existing Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) to ₹40,000 Cr.
