Sichuan Province has reported significant year-on-year growth in invoiced sales revenue from January to June 2026, with its industrial economy playing a pivotal role in bolstering economic expansion. The manufacturing sector, in particular, saw a notable increase of 7.6% in invoiced sales revenue.
The province’s industrial structure is demonstrating optimization and upgrading, according to data from the Sichuan Provincial Tax Service. Manufacturing revenue increased by 7.6%, contributing substantially to the overall economic performance. Equipment manufacturing emerged as a key driver, accounting for 50.0% of the province’s total manufacturing revenue and experiencing a 5.8% year-on-year rise.
Within equipment manufacturing, several sub-sectors exhibited strong performance. Clean energy equipment manufacturing grew by 7.3%, with a specific focus on PV equipment and components manufacturing, which saw a 7.6% increase. Other areas of growth include lithium-ion battery manufacturing, up 22.5%, and deep-sea oil drilling equipment manufacturing, which surged by an impressive 160.0% year-on-year. These developments highlight Sichuan’s strategic focus on advanced manufacturing and clean energy technologies.
