The Bombay High Court has dismissed an interim application filed by the trust managing Lilavati Hospital, which sought to prevent HDFC Bank from making public statements concerning a loan dispute valued at ₹1,000 crore. The trust had initiated legal proceedings against the bank, alleging defamation due to online posts made by HDFC Bank.
In its ruling, the court pointed to the trust’s established pattern of engaging in media campaigns against HDFC Bank as a significant factor in its decision to reject the interim plea.
