Kanpur Fertilizers and Chemicals plant under overcast sky, freight train passing
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) has announced its plan to acquire indirect control of Kanpur Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited through a resolution plan for Jaiprakash Associates. The deal, valued at Rs 1,500 crore, will significantly enhance Adani Ports’ inland logistics capabilities in North India.
The acquisition includes the land owned by Jaypee Fertilizers & Industries in Kanpur, which is strategically positioned for the development of a large-scale logistics park. This move aligns with Adani Ports’ broader strategy to expand its multimodal logistics parks and warehousing capacity across the country, strengthening its integrated logistics and supply chain services.
This transaction, undertaken as part of the resolution plan for Jaiprakash Associates, is expected to bolster Adani Ports’ presence in the crucial North Indian market, offering a comprehensive suite of logistics solutions to businesses operating in the region.
