Engineers and project managers review blueprints at an Adani-IHG hotel construction site in India.
Adani Airport Holdings, a subsidiary of the Adani Group, has announced its strategic entry into the hospitality sector through a partnership with IHG Hotels & Resorts. This collaboration will see the development and launch of five new hotels across four key Indian cities: Jaipur, Navi Mumbai, Mangaluru, and Thiruvananthapuram.
The expansion includes the introduction of IHG’s luxury Kimpton brand to the Indian market, with a Kimpton hotel planned for Jaipur. The other properties will include brands from IHG’s diverse portfolio, catering to various market segments. This move signifies Adani’s diversification strategy and its ambition to capture a significant share in India’s growing hospitality landscape.
The partnership leverages Adani’s extensive infrastructure development capabilities and IHG’s global expertise in hotel operations and brand management. The chosen locations are strategically positioned to attract both domestic and international travelers, capitalizing on the burgeoning tourism and business travel in these regions.
This venture into hospitality aligns with Adani Group’s broader strategy of expanding its airport ecosystem and related businesses, aiming to create synergistic growth opportunities. The development is expected to contribute to the economic growth of the respective cities through job creation and increased tourism revenue.
