Solar power plant in Rajasthan, India
Purvah Green Power, a subsidiary of RPSG, is set to significantly expand its renewable energy footprint with the acquisition of a 1.4 GWp solar portfolio from Renew Solar Power. The deal, valued at ₹4,859 crore, will increase Purvah Green Power’s contracted renewable capacity to 4.8 GWp.
The acquired solar assets are strategically located across the Indian states of Rajasthan and Karnataka. A key aspect of this transaction is that over ninety percent of the acquired capacity is already contracted with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) under long-term agreements, ensuring stable revenue streams and operational certainty.
This acquisition underscores RPSG’s commitment to growing its renewable energy business and contributing to India’s clean energy targets. The expansion into Rajasthan and Karnataka, states known for their solar potential and supportive policies, positions Purvah Green Power for continued growth in the burgeoning Indian renewable energy market.
