A pilot consultant, R S Sandhu, has withdrawn his participation from the ongoing investigation into the Air India aircraft crash in Ahmedabad. Sandhu, serving as a subject matter expert, reportedly exited the probe due to disagreements regarding the investigation’s process.
Sources indicate that Sandhu has not attended any meetings related to the investigation since January. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), responsible for overseeing the probe, has not yet issued a public statement regarding Sandhu’s departure.
The crash, which occurred last year, resulted in the tragic loss of 260 lives. A preliminary report on the incident suggested that human action may have been a contributing factor to the accident.
