Workers huddle on the production line at Maruti Suzuki's new Kharkhoda plant.
Maruti Suzuki India has announced that its second manufacturing facility at Kharkhoda has commenced operations, significantly enhancing its production capabilities. This new plant adds an annual capacity of 2.5 lakh units to the company’s manufacturing footprint.
The Kharkhoda site is already the production hub for popular models such as the Brezza compact SUV and the newly launched Victoris mid-size SUV. With the addition of the second plant, the total production capacity at the Kharkhoda facility reaches 5 lakh units per annum.
This expansion is a strategic move by Maruti Suzuki to meet the growing demand for its vehicles and to streamline its manufacturing operations. The increased capacity is expected to bolster the company’s market position and support its future product launches.
