Srijesh Kumar discusses technology strategy with his team at Practo.
Bengaluru-based healthtech startup Practo has appointed Srijesh Kumar as its global chief product and technology officer (CPTO), as the company gears up for a potential IPO. Kumar’s appointment aims to strengthen Practo’s product and technology teams as it expands globally.
Kumar brings over two decades of experience, most recently serving as a vice president at Salesforce, where he led product engineering for industries cloud. His prior roles include leadership positions at Expedia Group, Punchh, Adobe, and Microsoft.
This move comes as Practo seeks to raise $100 million to $125 million in a pre-IPO funding round, potentially led by a global private equity firm, with existing investors also participating. The pre-IPO round could value Practo at around $700 million.
Practo intends to use the new capital for expansion and acquisitions. While an IPO was initially targeted for this year, the public listing is now expected in 2027. The company is also integrating AI across its platform to enhance care delivery and patient experience, while expanding in markets including the US and UAE.
In the last month, Practo appointed Cijo George as vice president of AI. Founded in 2008 by Shashank ND and Abhinav Lal, Practo connects users with over 700,000 doctors and healthcare providers and offers SaaS tools for clinics and hospitals. It has raised nearly $230 million from investors, including Tencent and Peak XV Partners.
