ATM acquisition in India
CMS Info Systems has acquired FSS’s ATM Managed Services business for ₹115 crore (approximately $13.8 million), signaling further consolidation within India’s ATM sector. The acquisition will add 8,000 ATMs to CMS’s network, enhancing its market presence following the insolvency of AGS Transact Technologies.
The move aligns with CMS Info Systems’ strategy to establish itself as a preferred partner for banks seeking to consolidate their service provider relationships. By expanding its ATM network, CMS aims to offer comprehensive managed services to financial institutions looking for fewer, larger service providers.
The acquisition reflects ongoing trends in the Indian ATM sector, where companies are seeking to achieve economies of scale and improve service delivery through consolidation. CMS Info Systems’ acquisition of FSS’s ATM Managed Services business represents a strategic move to capitalize on these trends and strengthen its market position.
