Effective April 10, toll plazas on national highways will transition to fully cashless operations. The primary method for toll collection will remain FASTag.
However, for vehicles without a FASTag, an alternative payment option will be available via UPI. This UPI payment method will incur a surcharge, costing 1.25 times the standard toll fee.
The initiative aims to significantly reduce queues at toll plazas and streamline highway travel for all commuters.
