Air India is adjusting its fuel surcharge structure for flights within India and to international destinations, the airline announced. The changes will take effect on April 8, 2026, for domestic routes and April 10, 2026, for international travel.
The airline is implementing a new distance-based system for domestic flights. For international flights, Air India will apply higher, region-specific charges.
These revisions come as global jet fuel prices continue to climb, exacerbated by ongoing concerns about potential conflict related to Iran.
