India's defense exports soar.
India’s defence exports have surged by 63% to a record ₹38,424 crore in FY26, according to recent data. This growth is attributed to significant contributions from both Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs) and the private sector, marking a significant expansion in the country’s exporter base.
The increased exports reflect India’s deepening integration into the global supply chain, with both public and private entities playing crucial roles. The nearly equal contributions from DPSUs and the private sector underscore the diversified nature of India’s defence manufacturing capabilities.
This surge in defence exports highlights India’s growing prominence as a key player in the global aerospace and defence market. The expansion is also supported by favorable government policies aimed at boosting indigenous defence production and exports.
