The Andhra Pradesh Transmission Corporation (APTRANSCO) is undertaking power transmission projects worth ₹5,000 crore to enhance the state’s power infrastructure. An additional ₹3,000 crore in projects are in the planning stages, according to recent reports.
The investment aims to improve the reliability and quality of power supply across Andhra Pradesh. Officials are developing implementation and procurement schedules for substations and necessary materials to expedite the project’s progress.
The state government’s objective is to provide uninterrupted, high-quality power to support economic activities and improve living standards. The upgrade is expected to reduce transmission losses and improve grid stability, benefiting industrial and residential consumers.
