Green ammonia production facility with solar panels and wind turbines.
ACME Group has entered into a significant ₹20,000 crore (approximately $2.4 billion USD) agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to supply green ammonia. This long-term deal underscores the growing investment in India’s green energy sector and the increasing demand for sustainable alternatives in chemical manufacturing.
Under the 10-year purchase agreement, ACME will develop a green ammonia production facility in Odisha. The facility will supply contracted capacity to fertilizer units across multiple states, supporting India’s agricultural sector with environmentally friendly inputs. The project aligns with India’s national targets for reducing carbon emissions and promoting renewable energy sources.
The deal highlights the strategic importance of green ammonia as a key component in decarbonizing industries such as agriculture. As global pressures mount for sustainable practices, investments in green ammonia production are expected to rise, positioning companies like ACME Group at the forefront of this transition.
This collaboration between ACME and SECI not only bolsters the supply of green ammonia but also sets a precedent for future partnerships aimed at fostering sustainable development and energy security in India.
