GE Shipping's strategic fleet changes: LPG vessel sale and bulk carrier acquisition.
The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (GE Shipping) has completed the sale and delivery of its 2002-built LPG vessel, ‘Jag Vishnu,’ to undisclosed buyers. This move is part of a broader strategy to modernize and optimize its fleet, according to a recent company statement.
In parallel with the vessel sale, GE Shipping is also in the process of acquiring a second-hand Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier. This acquisition is intended to further refine the company’s operational capacity in the dry bulk segment.
The delivery of ‘Jag Vishnu’ marks a strategic step in GE Shipping’s ongoing efforts to streamline its assets and focus on more modern, efficient vessels. The company’s fleet modernization program reflects a commitment to maintaining a competitive edge in the global shipping market.
