Pratap Technocrats and BSNL partnership for BharatNet Phase III.
Pratap Technocrats has been awarded a significant contract worth Rs 8,025 crore (approximately $963 million) by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for the BharatNet Phase III project. The deal, announced recently, involves the design, build, operation, and maintenance of broadband infrastructure across Rajasthan, Haryana, and Assam.
This agreement aims to enhance rural connectivity, supporting digital services and fostering economic opportunities in these states. The BharatNet project is a government initiative to provide high-speed internet to rural areas, bridging the digital divide and enabling access to essential services like e-governance, telemedicine, and online education.
Pratap Technocrats’ role includes end-to-end responsibility for the infrastructure, ensuring its operational efficiency and longevity. The project is expected to stimulate local economies by enabling better communication and access to information, further integrating these regions into the national digital ecosystem.
The deal underscores the ongoing efforts to expand broadband access in India’s rural areas, reflecting a broader trend of increased investment in digital infrastructure. This initiative is crucial for India’s digital transformation, supporting both economic growth and social development.
