Innovators with AI wearable in a high-tech electronics manufacturing facility.
Bengaluru-based NeoSapien has raised $2 million in seed funding to scale the production of its AI-native wearable, Neo 1. The funding round was backed by venture capital fund Merak Ventures and angel investors including boAt cofounder Sameer Mehta, Pixxel’s Awais Ahmed, Anupam Mittal of Shaadi.com, Emcure Pharmaceuticals’ Namita Thapar, and former Koo CEO Aprameya Radhakrishna.
Founded in 2024 by Dhananjay Yadav and Aryan Yadav, NeoSapien specializes in AI wearables, with its first product, Neo 1, launched in March 2025. Neo 1 is designed to assist users by generating notes, transcripts, and reminders from verbal communications.
The company gained prominence following its appearance on Shark Tank India Season 4. NeoSapien made headlines again at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 when some of its products were allegedly stolen during a security shutdown.
Neo 1, priced around ₹10,000, generates transcripts of conversations and meeting notes, and can be toggled off or on through a companion app. The device supports over 40 Indic languages and over 100 global languages.
NeoSapien is also planning to license its Neo OS to other firms, enabling them to build their own hardware using its layer.
According to Dhananjay Yadav, NeoSapien is aiming to penetrate the Indian market more deeply, with potential forays into the UAE or the US markets.
