Fino Payments Bank CEO secured bail in GST probe.
Hyderabad’s Special Judge for Trial of Economic Offences Cases has granted bail to Rishi Gupta, managing director of Fino Payments Bank, concerning an ongoing GST investigation.
According to the EO EC PC Courts, Hyderabad – CBI order, Gupta’s bail is secured by a personal bond of ₹10 Lakh, along with two sureties of the same amount. The court has mandated that Gupta deposit his passport and seek permission before international travel. Additionally, he must appear before authorities on the first and third Mondays of each month between 10 AM and 5 PM.
This development follows a dismissed writ petition for bail by the Telangana High Court two days prior. The investigation pertains to alleged GST evasion linked to specific transactions.
Fino Payments Bank has been contacted for comment on the matter.
