Visualizing innovation in the Accel and Prosus 'Atoms X' cohort.
Venture capital firms Accel and Prosus have chosen six early-stage startups for their first Atoms X cohort, a collaboration launched last year to support founders creating breakthrough, science-based innovations. The firms will co-invest in each startup, with investments ranging from $500,000 to $2 million.
The selected companies address foundational challenges in climate infrastructure, space access, and next-generation healthcare.
The Atoms program, started by Accel in 2021, supports early-stage startups. Atoms X focuses on LeapTech startups, going beyond deeptech.
The selected startups are:
- Praan: Builds filter-less air purifiers for indoor and outdoor spaces.
- QOSMIC: Developing space-based optical communication infrastructure.
- Dognosis: Uses trained dogs and AI for early disease detection through breath analysis.
- Ferra: Offers a home-based strength training system for older adults.
- EtherealX: Developing reusable medium-lift launch vehicles.
- Stealth Startup: Working on brain-computer interface technology.
Accel and Prosus evaluated over 2,000 applications to select these six startups.
