Tata Steel Ltd. has successfully utilized inland waterways to transport a significant consignment of granulated blast furnace slag and TMT bars to Pandu, near Guwahati, signaling a strategic shift towards more efficient logistics solutions. The shipment, comprising 1,199 MT of slag and 300 MT of TMT bars, was executed via the Indo-Bangladesh Protocol Route, highlighting the enhanced capacity and viability of inland waterways for cargo transport.
