Bangalore-based TimBuckDo, a platform connecting college students with gig economy jobs, has raised approximately ₹2.7 Cr (about $3.2 million) in funding. The round included participation from Arjun Vaidya (V3 Ventures), Sandesh Shardha, Anupam Bansal (Liberty Shoes), Shaili Chopra (Gytree & SheThePeople), Archana Jahangirdhar (Rukam Capital), Turbostart VC, and Mudit Kumar & Jeet Wagh (Ideabaaz).
Founded in 2022 by Mythri Kumar, TimBuckDo aims to bridge the gap between employers and students seeking part-time work. The platform offers a range of opportunities, from supermarket staff and receptionists to specialized gigs like graphic design and social media management.
TimBuckDo differentiates itself by focusing on the student experience, offering support throughout the hiring process and grievance redressal. The platform also incorporates student-centric discounts from merchants like Swiggy and Domino’s, incentivizing platform usage.
The company has raised ₹7.3 Cr in funding to date, including a grant from the Karnataka government. TimBuckDo operates on a commission-based revenue model, charging brands a platform fee ranging from ₹499 to ₹4,999, depending on their requirements. The platform claims to have around 500,000 students registered and projects gross revenue of ₹ 2.2 Cr by FY26.
TimBuckDo competes with platforms like PickMyWork and Gig4U. The company also runs campus ambassador programs, partnering with brands like Riot Games and SuperYou to facilitate campus engagement and data collection.
